"In the process of excavating my backyard, I ran into an equally sizable and stubborn chunk of rock. I called Mark, who was recommended by a colleague. Mark immediately got in touch with me to let me know he was booked the next 4 weeks - and then - went on to help me troubleshoot my problem. Even though my schedule needed something quicker than his availability.__Mark recommended another local company, API Excavating. Issac was out at my house the next morning to give me his assessment. I ended up going with Issac. Isaac was responsive, reliable, honest and professional throughout. The quality of the work left quite an impression. The site was left in great condition for the next phase of my project.__I’m grateful to Mark for putting himself in my shoes to help me solve my problem, even when he couldn’t directly do the work. I believe it shows exactly the kind of businessman you will deal with when you contract him. And I would also highly recommend Issac and API Excavating for their work."

"I contacted multiple demolition companies I found online to demolish a brick home on a lot I plan to build on. Mark Holloway was the only one that returned my call and immediately met with me to look at the project. He gave me a more than reasonable quote and explained what he would do. He demolished the 2,000 sq ft brick house in 4 days and worked in the rain 1 of those days. I had several people tell me it was not possible but Mark did it. It was amazing. He cleaned up the lot when he was done and it looked great. Mark is honest, trustworthy and dependable and will go above and beyond your expectations to make sure you are satisfied. If you need a job done you will not be disappointed if you use Holloway Construction."

Land Clearing Job

"I went to the web looking for someone to clear the trees along the fence lines on my farm. There was about 1800' of trees ranging in size from 3" to 26" diameter. Just moving here, I searched on the web for some companies to call. I called Mark at Holloway not knowing anything about his company and called two other companies. Mark responded immediately on Thursday and met me the next day. We talked about what I wanted done for the project at hand and other work I was hoping to do. I told him I was waiting to meet with another contractor on Monday. He immediately stated that he could start on bush hogging the tree line and the other acres I wanted done later that day and quoted a price on that work. He said with that out of the way, not only he but anyone else would have a better idea of what to bid for the job. I agreed and he work solid over the weekend to complete both areas. It looked great and he did an amazing job for the stated price. At that time he graciously waited until the end of the day Monday for the other contractor to come out to bid the job. They never did and I gave Mark the job. It took three days to clear the trees and the property looks amazing. I expect contractors to state what they are going to do and do what the stated. Holloway did just that and more. I told him I have another phase of work to do and I will be contacting him for the job. His work was excellent, he was their early every day and left the job late, and he did the work for what I thought was a very fair price. He will be involved in any of my future work needs. Since this job ended five days ago, my shop contractor is in need of someone to grade the land for the shop since his normal contractor was busy. I have recommended Mark as a possible contractor for the job. The two meet tomorrow about the job. I highly recommend Holloway Construction."

"First off, I’m a Structural Engineer and own my own business, so I am naturally careful and particular with who works on my own personal projects. Further, I’m with each of you that find it difficult to find reliable individuals who do what they say, when they agree to do it. As I prepared to construct a barn and round pen as well as suitable area for trailer parking and turn around, I needed a reliable earthwork contractor that would ensure the new drive, parking and building pad was ready and correct before the barn construction crew started. Researched several to find Mark. I did take note of the single low review here, however had figured that it was from someone with a lack of understanding of construction - but I did ask Mark about it, straight up - and he explained the circumstances to my satisfaction. From the first call he was professional and open about when he could come see the project, and followed up with what he told me. I do note that I had 3 other companies look at the site and simply did not feel good about the visit/meetings. However, immediately upon visiting the site, I felt comfortable with Mark’s knowledge and clear honesty. While on site the first time, he setup his level and walked the site with me to discuss the goals. I believe what I found the most comfortable was that he offered his suggestions on the best way to approach the project, but yet he listened to me to understand what I wanted and how the entire project was planned out - which is the mark of a good team and contractor. Before he left the site, he gave me an estimate and told me when he could begin as well as how long it should take him, weather dependent of course. I authorized the work, Mark mobilized to the site right on time and worked solid complete days, Some key items: 1) it did rain one evening - next morning, Mark quickly corrected the areas where Mother Nature moved some dirt around, 2) Mark worked quickly and coordinated stone delivery so the new drive did not wash out, 3) Mark did not leave until the site was essentially perfect 4) he communicated all along the way, making sure everything was clear and done to my satisfaction. The result, a wonderful job, on time, with-in budget, and he left the site clean with minimal disturbance to adjacent grass and driveway. I will be calling Mark on future projects and I recommend him."
